Gatlin, who turned 70 last week, marked the milestone with his brothers – Rudy and Steve Gatlin – and a big slice of cake on stage at Opry Country Classics at Ryman Auditorium.
“I can do more work than any other 70-year old I know and thank God,” said Larry Gatlin who hosts Opry Country Classics each week.
He also celebrates more than most people.
“I’m grateful to God for my family, my friends and my health,” Gatlin said. “What a blessed man I am.”
Larry Gatlin & the Gatlin Brothers, known for songs including “All the Gold in California” and “Broken Lady,” will play the Budweiser Forever Country stage 1:15 p.m. Friday, June 8, at CMA Festival. The stage is free and open to the public.
